It has become a mainstream material in many industries, especially playing an important role in the rapid prototyping industry.

There are many types of brass, so what should we pay attention to when machining?

Choose appropriate cutting tools: Brass is relatively soft, so it is easy to produce burrs during processing. Sharp tools should be used for cutting and shaping.

Control the cutting speed: Brass has a high thermal conductivity and the friction heat generated is not easy to dissipate. Therefore, the cutting speed must be controlled well during processing to prevent excessive heating from causing deformation, cracks and other adverse effects.

Processed surface protection: Brass contact with oxygen in the air will cause oxidation reactions, resulting in surface discoloration and oxidation. The brass surface can be protected by oiling or other chemical methods during processing.
